THEQUARTER, Degraves St, Melbourne CBD
I am ridiculously psyched on this place. It's actually everything opposite to the last Coffee shop review I posted the other day. It's amazing!
It was the second time today that I've attended this place, first time though for food.
The first time, I was wondering passed with my friend and in need of a coffee, this place had the machine facing the street, greeted with a friendly smile and an extremely professional attitude, the barista whipped up out coffees in a matter of minutes.
I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to coffee, having worked as a Barista before and have many years experience of pouring the shit down my throat, I know what I'm after when I ask for my double shot soy flat white.
I was delighted. So excited over it, I think i might have actually used the phrase, 'Delightful'.
So from this experience alone, I endeavored to return to sit in and indulge at some time. Come a month or so later, the time arrived.
Hollie and I were greeted much the same upon arrival from my first experience, big smiles and open arms, hugs and kisses.. almost.. We sat ourselves down and ordered. Minutes later we had our coffees, served with smiles, orders taken and we were on our way to what we thought was going to be quite a long wait.
Little did we know that within a 10er we'd have food infront of us. Let me tell you, it was probably the best pizza I'd ever eaten before in my entire life. Mediterranean. Get it, you will enjoy it. Hollie got some pasta something something, and swore by it also. I wish right now I knew what it was so I could say, but I don't. haha.
After we'd finished, we talked to the Waitress for a moment or two about what she'd recommend for desert. We took the option of the mixed berry cheesecake, served with ice-cream. I got another coffee to go with it and without fail, they both arrived promptly and by golly they were delightful.
This is a place that knows how to run a coffee shop/cafe/restaraunt, whatever you may call it.. it seems to be all three mashed together. Very professional and very, very good. I recommend you check it out next time you're hunting down somewhere to eat/drink/sit/cry/read/socialize.. this place is brilliant.
