Just sitting around having a little break from drawing for a minute, recalculating thoughts and direction. It's good to do, sometimes. Spring onion dip is killer, with a cheeseboard cracker box, so good. Select, dip, enjoy.
So I'm working on a couple of different little projects at the moment, with about 5.8 BILLION more ideas brewing....per day. No exaggeration, guys. It's hard to keep up with it haha.
I've steered a little away from painting for the minute, leaving a couple of projects unfinished, and moved onto pen drawings, just going crazy with that for the minute.
Looking very forward to the Ma.Gallery show, I will have two pieces on display and for sale at this event. This will be happening on the 27th of this month at Ma.Gallery, located in Chippendale, Sydney. The venue actually sounds and looks (from what i've seen in photos) to be a great venue, which holds band nights and everything.. I think my friend, Jamie Charleston (whom is also in this show), will be driving up on the 24th or 25th and staying over the opening date, which is obviously as previously stated, the 27th.
For now, that is all.

Classics | 106 VULCANIZED
I picked up a pair of the Vans Classics, 106 Vulcanized the other night off of Leigh G at The Anchor in Collingwood. So psyched on these, comfy as hell. For the rider, I reckon if you're not one of these whippa dippa kids or someone who has the weakest ankles, ever.. you'll enjoy riding in these. Thick soul, waffle grip etc. I'm sure they're also good for the ol' skateboarders, too.
Nice and comfy for the strolling and I'm sure if you're enough of a psycho you could even run in them.
Retailing cheaper than anywhere (that I know of) from The anchor, for AU$79.95.

THEQUARTER, Degraves St, Melbourne CBD
I am ridiculously psyched on this place. It's actually everything opposite to the last Coffee shop review I posted the other day. It's amazing!
It was the second time today that I've attended this place, first time though for food.
The first time, I was wondering passed with my friend and in need of a coffee, this place had the machine facing the street, greeted with a friendly smile and an extremely professional attitude, the barista whipped up out coffees in a matter of minutes.
I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to coffee, having worked as a Barista before and have many years experience of pouring the shit down my throat, I know what I'm after when I ask for my double shot soy flat white.
I was delighted. So excited over it, I think i might have actually used the phrase, 'Delightful'.
So from this experience alone, I endeavored to return to sit in and indulge at some time. Come a month or so later, the time arrived.
Hollie and I were greeted much the same upon arrival from my first experience, big smiles and open arms, hugs and kisses.. almost.. We sat ourselves down and ordered. Minutes later we had our coffees, served with smiles, orders taken and we were on our way to what we thought was going to be quite a long wait.
Little did we know that within a 10er we'd have food infront of us. Let me tell you, it was probably the best pizza I'd ever eaten before in my entire life. Mediterranean. Get it, you will enjoy it. Hollie got some pasta something something, and swore by it also. I wish right now I knew what it was so I could say, but I don't. haha.
After we'd finished, we talked to the Waitress for a moment or two about what she'd recommend for desert. We took the option of the mixed berry cheesecake, served with ice-cream. I got another coffee to go with it and without fail, they both arrived promptly and by golly they were delightful.
This is a place that knows how to run a coffee shop/cafe/restaraunt, whatever you may call it.. it seems to be all three mashed together. Very professional and very, very good. I recommend you check it out next time you're hunting down somewhere to eat/drink/sit/cry/read/socialize.. this place is brilliant.

ARTMELBOURNE. Pt.2
Not to only post negative contents, but I was highly disappointed in this years Artfair, especially after how excited I was when I looked over it yesterday. Ohwell, perhaps next year will be better. After all that I said in my last post about it, it turns out that last year was atleast 3/4.56ers better than this years. Hope you had a better experience if you were able to attend.
Coffee shop review - ALFA BAKEHOUSE
Staying in theme with the whole "coffee with my friends" title, I've decided to write a little review on different places, when I feel necessary.
The first installation of this feature is of the Alfa Bakehouse, nestled into the heart of Yarraville, Melbourne.
On entry to the bakehouse, the vibe is pretty sweet. Psyched. So excited to get a coffee and relax after spending a decent part of the day wondering around the Art Fair in the city. Good music, good vibe. This was all diminished once we approached the counter. A lady waitress stood in front of the counter, directly in front of us for a good minute or so before walking away, without even acknowledging our presence. A moment or so later, a different women approached us and rudely demanded we ordered.
We ordered a soy flatwhite and a soy chai latte. With a roll of the eyes, she told us the total price. We hadn't finished our order. We then proceeded to nicely order two of the chocolate rum balls. She then abruptly cut us off again with a "$10.50". After we had paid, she walked away without saying anything else.
We took our seat in the admittably nicely set out cafe.
Our drinks took a resonable amount of time to come out, which was understandable as there were orders to be made before ours.
When they did eventually come out, the waitress approached "Soy latte, soy flatwhite" - I took my soy flatwhite. We informed her that there was a soy chai ordered, not a latte. - She rolled her eyes and stormed off back to the coffee machine.
We could overhear her speaking to one of the other staff members "She didn't fuckin' say chai", clearly speaking of Hollie when she ordered.
My soy flatwhite was actually of Cappuccino froth level and was also made with full cream milk. Thanks for getting my order exactly what I wanted.
When Hollie's soy chai was finally brought out to us, it was made using Chai Powder for one, which is if you've had it - the most disgusting tasting hot drink that leaves a furry feeling in your mouth - and this is what it was - I tasted it after Hollie had said she wasn't able to finish it because it was making her sick and I swear they shovelled half the cup full of this powdered chai tea.
"The cafe is a great environment to meet your friends, all while enjoying the very best we have to offer including great coffee! Visit us today and enjoy the Alfa experience!" - Alfa Bakehouse.
Though the place looks good, the service and coffee is bullshit. I will not be returning and I advise against you checking the place out, too.
I hope you enjoyed my first coffee shop review, I think I'll drop a few in when I come across ones worthy of applauding or talking shit on. Thanks for reading.

seeya later myspace
I can't even comprehend how much time I've spent on Myspace over the years, this makes me a little depressed but today.. for the 5th or 6th time, I deleted my account, once again.
I think Facebook has won a billion people over or something and I think the general opinion as far as I can tell, is that Facebook just wins all together. Me, I hate it. I hate both. But if people aren't going to go back to the basics of using e-mail or snail mail - OR CALLING/seeing people in person, then I shall keep Facebook, for a little while longer atleast.
For those whom might want to contact me;

Middle of April.
I've just been confirmed to partake in the "27" show with MaGallery, which is a new fantastic sounding gallery in Sydney. Pretty excited about it, really. Been working on some drawings especially for it.
Ma Gallery has a website that can be peeeeeped - they've also got facebook so you should add them or something. Also, everyone's favorite Ghostpatrol has uploaded the 'last set' of "while you sleep" artworks. Psyched on them, as always.
Also his partner in crime Miso has recently (15 days ago haha) updated her blogsite with .. a VERY lovely paste up. You should check it out.
That's probably it for now.
Goodbye.

INTER-NET.
Me and a friend, Luke Batchelor, were interested one time in Googleing "the internet". I don't know if anyone will find this as funny as we did, but the picture above, is a picture of.. the internet. The explanation was just as funny..to us. Read below.
"The Internet is a global network of interconnected computers, enabling users to share information along multiple channels. Typically, a computer that connects to the Internet can access information from a vast array of available servers and other computers by moving information from them to the computer's local memory. The same connection allows that computer to send information to servers on the network; that information is in turn accessed and potentially modified by a variety of other interconnected computers."
Continue reading HERE if you like, but for me; that's enough. I have no idea what it's saying, really. I just laughed.

BLF
I watched a documentary on (maybe) this group randomly around a year ago; I've always been into the idea behind changing up billboards, never done it myself, probably never will - but there's an awesome site, that you can check out by clicking HERE that showcases a lot of what's going on.
There's a really good History and Timeline section, where you can see where it all began. It's very interesting and well worth checking out!
